The Canadian Peace Officers' Memorial Association pays tribute to the fallen peace officers who have been killed in the performance of their duties. On the last Sunday in September each year, a Memorial Service is held on Parliament Hill honouring both fallen peace and police officers.
On behalf of Local 003 Executive, we ask that you continue your support of the Service, which in turn will demonstrate our dedication to honour our comrades. It is also our way of ensuring the family members of those we are remembering that they are forever in our thoughts and prayers.
If you are interested in attending, please fill out the form below and submit to your Local Executive no later than May 11st. This opportunity is open to all Local 003 members. The final selection will be determined by Local Council at the Local Council AGM. There is a minimal physical requirement. Applicants must be able to stand for extended periods as well as be able to walk approximately one mile. Preference to attend this occasion will be given to those with active union involvement.
